To Lindsey + Frank:

I would have finished this faster if I didn’t go to the U2 concert last night..

Thank you for a wonderful time!  Riding the golf cart and shooting you two was the best!  Ok maybe riding the golf cart to be honest… {I kid!}  Pat, thank you again, for letting me second shoot for you!

Really fun couple and I have to say the best man’s speech was just great. :)

Enjoy!

They were literally glowing in this shot and it wasn’t from my PP, though I did accentuate that..

A close up on the bride’s face!  :)

I think Frank’s Dad and the uncle (?) has been supplying the bubbles for these shots.  Sweet!

He was trying to get his children to look at the bench and not notice a guy with a big DSLR… that might be tough.

I think he succeeded

The cake serving utensils… :O  whoa…

Whoa…

I took this before we took a crazy Initial D drift!  {Just kidding!  This is definitely one of my favorites!}

The grandmother is amazing.  She is seriously lively and just full of energy!  :)

You two are awesome!  Much love!

My motivation for choosing countries to visit

I don’t usually decide on a country to visit with definite fervor.  After Thailand, and that debacle which I don’t want to get into, I was listening to U2’s Bad often at work.  And at the time I was a friend with this girl, who was Irish, and we were talking on and on about Ireland.  So after the nth time of listening to Bad (a phenomenally awesome song, by the way.) I decided to just go to Ireland for 2 weeks in the summer.  I didn’t want to be bogged down like I was in Thailand, I wanted to be able to do what I wanted to do.

This time around, same band, but different sound motivated me to choose to go to Italy.  Well… along with the art history, history of the modern world stemming from Italy, and Italian food.  When I said the same band, U2 played in Milan with their u218 album, and I have been listening to “I still haven’t found what I am looking for.” and Bono’s talk of the Duomo in Italy came on when I have started to reread my art history texts.  And… presto!  Italy.

Don’t get me wrong, I have every intention to go back to Ireland.  But I just need to visit some more countries before I do my elongated stays in Ireland.  Which should be in 2010! haha!  I might skip out my other country lists… who knows!

Into the light and thru the day!

I have been listening more and more to U2’s No Line on the Horizon, and can definitely see most of the tracks as travel songs! Of course they might not see it that way… but it’s subjective!

Ok so now that I have ended my accumulation of coffee cups, I am going to try something else with the positioning of the cups, angles, and lighting. I think the concept is a tad weak though, it feels like a personal journal that something poignant. I am going to try to macro everything in their assorted positioning.

I was recently reading PDN’s article on Medium format versus the use of DSLRs. I am not rich enough, or make that much, to use medium format. It would be nice for studio work, but it isn’t for me. I like portability! And try carrying a MF around the world. Some serious weight to consider!
